We hope that the children had a lovely and relaxing summer break. Autumn term – The build-up for Christmas is already fast approaching. We are super excited to be welcoming the children back to Hedgehog class, the start of an exciting journey for us all.
The start of this term will involve a chance for children to really settle into their new class with some fun and creative projects. We hope to make the transition from Reception to Year 1 a fun and exciting one for all involved. We hope that lots of you can join us on our first books and biscuits afternoon, we are really looking forward to showing you our classroom and outdoor space!
Here in Hedgehog class we are really excited to welcome our hedgehogs into our new classroom down in the mobiles. We feel passionate about the children building on the skills they have developed in the foundation stage. We have been busy planning an exciting term exploring the enchanted wood and plan on spending a lot of time exploring outside in our beautiful garden. Our class story this term will be the far away tree by Enid Blyton.
Reading at home is hugely beneficial to your children. We will be changing reading books in Hedgehog class every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We ask that children bring in their reading records daily.
P.E – ON Thursdays –
PLEASE HAVE YOUR PE KIT.
Earrings must able to be removed by the children themselves or they must have micropore tape provided from home.
We plan on getting outside as much as we can this year with our learning, what ever the weather and ask that all children bring in wellies and a waterproof jacket.
