Pupils are admitted to the school in accordance with the County’s Admissions Policy and procedures. These have changed since 1st September 2010 so please come to the school office where you will be able to get the appropriate forms and advice depending on the age of the child you wish to admit. This will also give you the opportunity to take a preliminary look at the school.

It is our policy to admit all Reception children in September, the Autumn Term, of the academic year in which they reach five years old. Our intake is 20 pupils.

Starting or changing school brings new routines, social situations and experiences for children and the staff at Bethersden are committed to making the transition as rewarding and enjoyable as possible for all our pupils. If we have more than 20 applicants for a year R place, allocation will be on a first come first serve basis and we will then operate a waiting list.
